Health information

Do not send us details of your symptoms, diagnosis or treatment. We are not a health provider, we cannot advise on them, and health information is subject to the Health Information Privacy Code 2020. The safest handling of it is not to collect it at all.

What is collected

If you use the contact form, we receive what you type into it (your name, email, optional phone number, topic and message), plus the page you sent it from, how you arrived at the site, your device type and an approximate location derived from your connection. It is stored in a private database so we can reply, and a copy is emailed to us.

Our hosting provider records standard request data to serve the site. We use Google Analytics, PostHog, Vercel Web Analytics and Ahrefs Analytics to understand which pages are read and how people arrive, and Google Search Console for the searches that led here. We use these in aggregate, not to identify individuals.

What we do not do

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask what personal information we hold about you and have it corrected, and you can ask us to delete it. Use the contact form to ask. If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
